What your child practises

Yukon Curriculum learning standard: Relationships between decimals, fractions, ratios and percents

How we explain it

Children can open this short lesson before they practise.

  1. A fraction to a decimal: divide the top by the bottom.
  2. A decimal to a percent: multiply by 100.
  3. Percent means out of 100.

Example: Write 3/4 as a decimal and a percent. 3 ÷ 4 = 0.75. 0.75 × 100 = 75%. Answer: 0.75 = 75%
