How we explain it

Children can open this short lesson before they practice.

  1. A telling sentence ends with a period.
  2. A question asks something and ends with ?
  3. A command tells you to do something. A big feeling ends with !

Example: Which tells you to do something? “Line up at the door.” or “I like the door.” A command gives a job to do. “Line up” tells you what to do. Answer: Line up at the door.
