Working Together Fairly
Share jobs, listen to others and treat everyone with respect.
What your child practices
Practices group skills: sharing ideas, decisions and responsibilities, being fair and respectful, considering other people's views, listening actively and choosing ways to present information.
Arizona Academic Standards learning standard: 3.C3.2; 3.C1.2 · how people benefit from working together, and deciding as a group
How we explain it
Children can open this short lesson before they practice.
- In a group, share ideas, jobs and decisions.
- Listen when others talk, and be kind and polite.
- A perspective is someone’s way of seeing things. Others may see it differently, and that’s okay.
Example: Your group disagrees about a poster idea. What should you do first? Every person’s ideas matter. Listening helps you understand their perspective. Answer: listen to everyone’s ideas
