All About Me
Feelings, kindness and being me
What your child practices
Naming feelings, noticing how we are the same and different, and choosing kind actions so everyone feels respected.
Arizona Academic Standards learning standard: K.H1.1; K.SP2.1 · comparing a child's own culture and traditions with those of others
How we explain it
Children can open this short lesson before they practice.
- Feelings have names: happy, sad, scared, angry.
- Think: what happened? How would you feel?
- Kind choices help others feel good.
Example: Your friend shares a toy with you. How might you feel? Sharing is a kind thing to do. Kind things make us feel good. Answer: happy
