What your child practices
Seeing that families come in many shapes and sizes, growing up from baby to grandparent, family stories and traditions, and helping at home.
Arizona Academic Standards learning standard: K.SP1.1; K.SP1.2 · words for past, present and future, and how past events shape a family
How we explain it
Children can open this short lesson before they practice.
- Every family is special. Families can look different.
- Families help each other at home.
- A tradition is something a family does again and again.
Example: Your family has pancakes every Sunday. What is that? You do it again and again. That makes it a family tradition. Answer: a tradition
