What your child learns in 9th grade in Oregon

9th grade is the first year of high school. Math follows Oregon's high school standards (linear and exponential relationships, equations and functions), and English classes read and write more closely. Oregon requires three social science credits, including half a credit of civics, so social studies in Gradelings covers civics and economics: the three branches, elections, how laws are made, rights and how markets work.
