How we explain it

Children can open this short lesson before they practice.

  1. Some animals change shape a lot as they grow, like butterflies and frogs.
  2. Others, like mammals, look like small adults and drink milk from their mother.
  3. Frog: egg, tadpole, tadpole with legs, adult frog.

Example: Which drinks its mother's milk when young: a calf or a chick? Cows are mammals. Mammal babies drink milk. Answer: a calf
