How we explain it

Children can open this short lesson before they practice.

  2. Multiply each part.
  3. Add the parts back together.

Example: 3 × 24 = ? 24 is 20 + 4. 3 × 20 = 60 and 3 × 4 = 12. 60 + 12 = 72. Answer: 72
