How we explain it
Children can open this short lesson before they practice.
- 1 foot = 12 inches. 1 yard = 3 feet. 1 pound = 16 ounces.
- 1 gallon = 4 quarts. 1 quart = 2 pints. 1 pint = 2 cups.
- Big unit to small unit: multiply.
Example: How many ounces are in 3 pounds? 1 pound = 16 ounces. 3 × 16 = 48. Answer: 48 ounces
