How we explain it

Children can open this short lesson before they practise.

  1. Know small groups at a glance.
  2. To count on, start with the bigger number.
  3. Say the next numbers: 5, then 6, 7, 8.

Example: Start at 5. Count on 3. Where do you land? Say 5. Count on: 6, 7, 8. You land on 8. Answer: 8
