How we explain it

Children can open this short lesson before they practise.

  1. Length: millimetres, centimetres, metres and kilometres.
  2. Mass: grams (g) and kilograms (kg).
  3. Capacity: millilitres (mL) and litres (L). Pick a unit that fits.

Example: Which unit fits the mass of an apple? An apple is light. Light things are measured in grams. Answer: Grams (g)
