How we explain it
Children can open this short lesson before they practice.
- The United Nations formed in 1945 to keep peace. The Universal Declaration names rights like freedom of thought and expression.
- Empires ended and new nations formed, like India in 1947.
- The Soviet Union broke apart in 1991. Globalization links economies; shared challenges include climate and migration.
Example: In what year did India become independent from Britain? It came soon after World War II. The year was 1947. Answer: 1947
