How we explain it

Children can open this short lesson before they practice.

  1. The Axis (Germany, Italy, Japan) fought the Allies. The US stayed neutral until Pearl Harbor in 1941.
  2. The Holocaust was the Nazi murder of six million Jews and millions of others. The Nuremberg Trials put Nazi leaders on trial.
  3. At home, Japanese Americans were unjustly removed; Black pilots like the Tuskegee Airmen served in segregated units.

Example: Who were the Axis powers? They fought against the Allies. They were Germany, Italy and Japan. Answer: Germany, Italy and Japan
