How we explain it

Children can open this short lesson before they practice.

  1. Find the jump between the numbers.
  2. Count forward by adding it. Count back by taking it away.
  3. Check the pattern with the next number.

Example: Count back by 5s: 30, 25, 20, ? Each step takes away 5. 20 − 5 = 15. Answer: 15
