How we explain it
Children can open this short lesson before they practice.
- Landforms, climate and resources shape how people live.
- People adapt, like using air conditioning in hot places, or change the land, like building dams.
- Towns often start near rivers for water and travel.
Example: Why did many towns start near rivers? People need water. Boats on rivers moved people and goods. Answer: rivers gave water and a way to move goods
