What your child practices
Personal financial literacy: your child learns that people earn income by working, tells income from gifts, names skills that jobs need, and sorts wants from needs.

How we explain it
Children can open this short lesson before they practice.
- People earn money, called income, by working at jobs.
- Money you get without working, like on a birthday, is a gift.
- Needs are things we must have. Wants are nice to have.
Example: Is food a need or a want? We must eat to live and grow. Answer: a need
